A Very Poor Attitude

I'm not sure if we played this more than once. Which is a shame, I always liked it.

Yes, that is a bit of Over The Hills And Far Away the the end of the song. We would test audiences to locate their knowledge of music by referencing other songs or even just bringing things up in conversation with people when we had a gig. Most of the time we were appalled at how little people were familiar with even well known groups, songs, etc. This played into an Us Vs. Them attitude we had with audiences: We were true believers in music and the audience was not. I guess we had a bad attitude.

I think someone actually did get the Jimmy Page thing that night.

Locusts

Live and studio versions of a song called Locusts.

I prefer the live version, although I didn't have all the lyrics finished.

The live version was from our last ever live appearance.

There were maybe four people there.

It was also the third time we ever played the song.

Left of the Dial

Shaman Rain performing the Replacements' Left of the Dial at the semi-legendary Tip Top Cafe in Huntsville, Alabama.

Our guitarist was still in high school when this was performed in 1989.

The rest of us were not much older.

Our sound had changed considerably in less than two years judging by the next clip: Field of Gray.

Last Song of the Night

Scars is the song we normally closed with anytime Shaman Rain performed in 1991 or 1992.

The source tape is a little chewed, but it's okay.
